2015: Osinbajo takes campaign to BRT buses
By Abiodun Alade, @biodunpen
The Vice-Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo rode on the Lagos State Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) on Christmas day to campaign and woo Nigerians to vote for the presidential candidate of the party, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming presidential election.
Osinbajo via his twitter page, shared the image of his conversation with passengers on the bus, stressing that it was an opportunity for him to articulate the programmes of the APC to Nigerians.
He said, “Rode on the bus earlier today and spoke to my fellow citizens, it was better than a thousand seminars !”.
Within six hours of sharing the image, it generated over 650 retweets and 100 favourites. Some of his followers applauded the move while others criticized him, arguing that his move was for political gain.
He added in a follow-up tweet that the most important issues are jobs, power, security and the economy.
Osinbajo has become active on the social media since he was nominated by Buhari as running mate.
13-year-old girl: My father gave me to Boko Haram forced to become a suicide bomber
KANO, Nigeria (AP) — A 13-year-old says her father gave her to Boko Haram extremists and that she was arrested after refusing to explode a suicide bomb in Kano, Nigeria's second largest city in the north.
Nigeria has suffered numerous suicide bombings in recent months carried out by girls and young women. That has raised fears that the insurgents are using kidnapped girls.

The girl told a news conference Wednesday night that she saw many people being buried alive at the Boko Haram camp where her father took her in Bauchi state, east of Kano.
She said her captors asked if she wanted to go to paradise and, when she said yes, explained she would have to be a suicide bomber.
"When I was told I would have to die to enter paradise, that I would have to explode a bomb and die, I said I cannot do it," she said.
When they threatened to kill her, she allowed them to strap her into a vest primed with explosives, saying "I was afraid to be buried alive."
Two other girls detonated their bombs at Kano's textile market on Dec. 10. Police said the attack killed four people and wounded seven, including the girl.
The West African nation's home-grown Boko Haram group attracted international condemnation when its fighters kidnapped 276 schoolgirls from a boarding school in northeast Chibok town in April. Dozens escaped but 219 remain missing.
Thousands of people have been killed and 1.6 million driven from their homes in the 5-year-old uprising to create an Islamic state in Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation of 160 million people divided between mainly Muslims in the north and Christians in the south.
Police Superintendent Adenrele Shinaba said the girl was arrested in the hospital with a leg wound. A taxi driver took her to the hospital, and she said she left her suicide vest on the seat. The driver alerted police.
Shinaba said she will remain in custody while investigations continue. He said they had been unable to find her father, who the girl said belongs to Boko Haram.

GAY IMAM IN AMERICA SPEAKS OPENLY
The land of freedom, America, now boast of an openly gay Imam. And the Muslim community is not happy about it. Imam Daayiee Abdulah, the only openly gay Imam in America & possibly the world, was born and raised a Baptist Christian faithful in Detroit but converted to Islam while studying in China. Upon his conversion, he noticed the spiritual gap lesbians, gays & transsexuals in the Islamic faith had and decided to become an Imam so as to provide an ideal Islamic support for them, he says.
“Being an openly gay imam and having been identified as such, I do get a lot of feedback and also kickback, but that’s OK,” he said. “I think that when people are unfamiliar with things, they tend to have an emotional knee-jerk reaction to it. Sometimes necessity is the mother of invention. And because of the necessity in our community, that’s why I came into this particular role.”
Abdulah, who says he told his parents he was gay at age 15, converted to Islam at the age of 33 and went on to study the religion in Egypt, Jordan and Syria. Asked what was his first spiritual act as an Imam, Abdulahi says it was the funeral for a gay Muslim who had died of AIDS. Continue…
“They had contacted a number of imams, and no one would go and provide him his janazah services. This pained me. I believe every person, no matter if I disagree with you or not, you have the right as a Muslim to have the proper spiritual rites and rituals provided for you. And whoever judges you, that will be Allah’s decision, not me. The beautiful thing about God is that when you change your attitude, and say, ‘God, I need some help,’ and mean it sincerely, God is always there for you,”
Abdullah serves as the imam and educational director of the Light of Reform Mosque in Washington, D.C, a place he calls a a rare safe space for Muslim LGBT. In his Mosque, which he founded in 2011, women and men kneel side-by-side and women are allowed to lead prayers, an action that has sparked controversy in the Muslim world.
Catholic Priests Fight with weapons over the Control of Parish in Mbaise, Imo State
The last may not have been heard about the crisis rocking the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara Mbaise in Imo State as pro-Bishop Okpalaeke and anti-Okpalaeke priests fought to the finish at St. Brigit’s Catholic Parish, Nnarambia, soaking themselves in their own blood and vandalizing several properties of the parish.
According to an eye witness account, the fight broke out Sunday evening when Rev. Fr. Januarius Chima Ahaneku, posted to the parish, came to take over, but the out-going priest, Rev. Fr. Marcelinus Nweke and his assistant, Rev. Fr. Chamberline Irozuru resisted him.
Fr. Ahaneku and Fr. Nweke and his assistant are pro and anti Bishop Okalaeke priests respectively.
The eyewitness told our reporter that Fr. Aheneku arrived the parish with some youths from his former parish while Fr. Nweke invited some thugs to confront them, and terming them hoodlums and criminals.
In the ensuing melee, the source said, the two groups descended on each other and suddenly, arms and amunitions flew from nowhere and the visitors were severely brutalized.

Fr. Nweke, 247ureports.com learnt, quickly alerted the officers from the Ahiazu police division who came and arrested the visitors, describing them as armed thugs.
All efforts made to reach the priests involved for comments could not yield any results. But according to police reports obtained by our source, Fr. Nweke and Fr. Chamberline Irozuru, stated that Fr. Ahaneku invaded his parish with some thugs who were with weapons loaded guns, strong iron bars and shockers in their two cars.
Fr. Nweke alleged that Fr. Ahaneku and his thugs had him beaten up and breaking his arm for resisting them entrance into the parish house.

However, a parishioner told our reporter that Fr. Ahaneku was only coming to take over officially after notifying Fr. Nweke of his posting to the parish, but Fr. Nweke in collaboration with other anti- Bishop Okpalaeke priests decided to frame them up as people causing problem.
The reason for this, he said, is because the anti-Okpalaeke priests who are in majority are feeling sidelined from the scheme of things in the diocese as they are grumbling that the few pro-Okpalaeke groups are enjoying the support of the church hierarchy.
It will be recalled that more than 200 priests from the diocese trooped out to protest the appointment of one of their own and pro-Okpalaeke priest, Rev. Fr. Clement Ebii as the Vicar General of the Diocese by the Apostolic Administrator, John Cardinal Onaiyekan.

The priests, it was learnt, also sponsored the Catholic Women Organisation to embark on another round of demonstration to force Cardinal Onaiyekan to withdraw that appointment, saying the appointment of Fr. Ebii was part of the “desperate attempts of Cardinal Onaiyekan to further cause the internal crisis in the diocese”.
The appointment of Fr. Ebii followed the resignation of Rev. Fr. Professor Louis Asiegbu last April, whose advice that the pro-Bishop Okpalaeke priests should not be given viable parishes(as part of their punishment), was ignored by Cardinal Onaiyekan, who instead, posted one of the priests, Fr. Chima Ahaneku to St. Patrick’s Parish Umuokrika Ekwereazu.
While some of the protesting priests, who demonstrated at the Mater Ecclesiae Cathedral, Ahiara Mbaise, accused Onaiyekan of trying to use the appointment of Fr. Ebii to bring back the “rejected” Bishop Okpalaeke, others accused Fr. Ebii of scheming to become the new bishop of the diocese.

Model reportedly had two ribs removed to get an hourglass shape
A popular Miami video model and stripper named Estrella reportedly had two of her ribs removed to get the perfect hourglass shape...that she obviously believed she couldn't get with the help of body magic?
MTO reports that she flew to South America to have her bottom two ribs removed. The controversial procedure is banned in the US (except for health reasons) because of how dangerous it is. It also has an extensive recovery time of up to 6 months sometimes. See more photos after the cut...

75-year-old arrested in Oyo state for impregnating 13yr old girl
Even though the girl, allegedly consented, the 75-year-old man who claims he wants to marry her, has been arrested and is about to be charged to court. Below is how Tribune reported it
Most of the teeth of the 75-year-old man are missing but Pa Muse Alabi is still going strong in meat consumption – both animal and human.
He is not a cannibal, he is simply a lady’s man and goes for young or old, single or married. However, he has bitten more than he could chew as he is currently at the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Oyo State Police Command, where the anti-social behaviour unit is investigating a case of defilement of a 13-year-old girl allegedly committed by the old man, and which has resulted in pregnancyCrime Reports learnt that Pa Alabi was doing carpentry work for a lady under whom the victim was an apprentice. The young girl seized the opportunity to tell Pa Alabi to build a safe for her. After giving her the safe, Pa Alabi wooed the girl and she agreed to his proposal. After the first sexual intercourse they had, it was learnt that the suspect gave the girl N200. When she also demanded for a handset, he gave her N1,500 to buy i-tel phone.
Four days after, they made love again. Both times were in September this year. But the grandmother of the girl was said to have noticed recently that she was showing signs of pregnancy. Though she denied, she secretly went to her lover to inform him. To her surprise, Pa Alabi demanded to know how she could be pregnant since he only had sex with her twice.
The girl decided to keep to herself and would not talk to Pa Alabi whenever he went to her mistress’s shop. This was said to have prompted the man to inform the mistress that her apprentice was pregnant for him, warning against the abortion of his unborn child. Shocked, the mistress informed the girl’s grandmother who, in turn, told the girl’s mother. Eventually, word got to the girl’s elder sister who went to a police station on Saturday, November 15 to lodge a complaint and Pa Alabi was promptly arrested.
A police source informed Crime Reports that the suspect’s neighbours said it was in the old man’s character to go after under-aged girls. The ultrasound scan carried out revealed the expected delivery date of the girl as July 7, 2015 meaning she is two months pregnant. Strangely, the girl was reported to have never menstruated before the pregnancy.
In an interview with Crime Reports, Pa Alabi admitted having sex with the girl and the paternity of the baby. He also agreed to marry her and take care of her and the baby when born. According to the man who lives at his family house at Oje area, “I am a carpenter and I still work till the present time. I even take roofing jobs. I am very strong.
“I have two daughters and a son. My first wife gave birth to the female children but had to be taken away by her people when she developed mental illness. My second wife is the mother of the boy who is an SSS3 student but she has left for another man. Currently, I have no wife.”
So how does he satisfy his sexual needs when it looks as if he is very active? Crime Reports asked. Pa Alabi replied: “I don’t go looking for any woman. I usually have sex with any of the married women who like me and come to me for sex. This is not always though.”
Speaking on how he came in contact with his victim, the elderly man said: “I used to do carpentry work for her boss who sells tailoring materials. That was where I knew her. One day, she asked me to help her build a safe in which she could be keeping her money. When I finished it, I asked her to come to my shop for the safe late one evening and I gave it to her.
“She used to pass by my shop whenever she was going home and used to stop by to greet me. On a particular day, I expressed my interest in her and she promised to think about it. She later consented and on one of the days she stopped to say hello to me, we had sex when I had an urge. And it was mutual. About five days after the first time, we had sex again and she stopped coming.
“One day, she came to me and told me that her grandmother said she was pregnant. She stopped coming again and I didn’t see her again until policemen came to arrest me.”
When asked whether he knew that his action was in contravention of the law, Pa Muse replied that he didn’t know, describing the outcome of his relationship with the young girl as “an act of God”. He said: “Mistake has no master. I pray that God should forgive me.”
The suspect said he doesn’t use any sex performance enhancement drug before making love to a female. “I don’t take any herbal drink for enhancement of sexual performance. They are alcoholic and I don’t take alcohol as a good Muslim. I observe my five-times-daily prayers faithfully.”
Pa Alabi said he was ready to take responsibility over the pregnant girl and the baby she is expecting. “I can take care of her adequately. I have a nephew who is a medical doctor and he has promised to help too,” he stated.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor however said that the suspect would be charged to court.
Pregnant woman & her partner caught having sex in hospital bed while waiting to have their baby induced
Lol. The things you read everyday! A heavily pregnant woman and her partner were caught having sex in a hospital bed in the UK while waiting to have their baby induced, Daily Mail reports
The mother and father were discovered by a cleaner who heard moaning coming from a private room on the maternity ward.
The worker told hospital bosses what she had found but was informed there are no rules against having sex on the ward at St Michael's Hospital, in Bristol. (picture above)
The hospital's policy is for frisky couples to put a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, The Sun reported.
A hospital source said: 'Other patients on the unit heard the commotion and were upset. The cleaner was utterly shocked. She was amazed to be told it was OK. The hospital's advice appears to be just to put a sign up - amazing.'
Like herbal remedies and eating spicy food, sex is said to help induce labour in some cases.
However, NHS advice says: 'You may have heard that certain things can trigger labour, such as herbal supplements and having sex, but there is no evidence that these work.
'Having sex won't cause harm, but you should avoid having sex if your waters have broken as there is an increased risk of infection.'

na wa ooo Nigerian Man Marries His Own Daughter To Get Her UK Visa
A Nigerian Home Office worker ‘married’ his own daughter to get her a British visa, The extraordinary scam was apparently executed by Jelili Adesanya while ministers turned a blind eye. -
Mr Adesanya, 54, has lived here for more than 30 years and holds a British passport, but wanted his daughter, her husband and their four sons to join him from Nigeria.
He faked a wedding ceremony complete with a photograph of the happy ‘couple’ which helped fool immigration officials that his daughter, Karimotu Adenike, was really his wife.
Miss Adenike, who is in her mid-30s, was duly granted permission to live in the UK.
The pair are waiting for her to be granted a permanent right to remain before they undergo a quiet divorce and attempt to bring the rest of her family here.
It is expected she would try to remarry her real husband to get them all visas.
But despite being tipped off two years ago, the Home Office seems to have done nothing to stop the scam by one of their own workers.
Until recently, Mr Adesanya was employed as an occupational health nurse for the Home Office, working with immigration officials at Gatwick airport.
A whistleblower sent letters to the High Commission in Lagos and the UK Border Agency including specific details such as names, addresses, passport numbers and even a copy of the wedding photograph.
When there was no response, he sent emails to then Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and ministers Vernon Coaker and Phil Woolas on February 1 this year. He heard nothing.
Mr Adesanya, who came to Britain in 1976, flew back to Nigeria on May 29, 2007, and held the bogus wedding ceremony a few days later at a register office in Ikorodu, Lagos.
A source said: ‘They paid people to attend the wedding so that the British High Commission in Lagos would believe it was genuine. The commission then gave Karimotu Adenike a two-year settlement visa in October 2007.
‘On her settlement visa application form, of course, she did not mention that she already had a husband and four children.
‘The date of birth on her Nigerian passport is not her real date of birth.’
Miss Adenike is believed to have aged herself by ten years on her wedding certificate to disguise the age gap with her father.
Although her settlement visa expired last month, she is hoping to be given the right to remain.
David Burrowes, the Conservative MP for Enfield Southgate and Shadow Justice Minister, was also tipped off by the whistleblower and wrote to the Home Office.
This time there was a reply, but it said that although the matter was ‘under investigation’, no further information would be provided because it could ‘breach of our obligations under the Data Protection Act’.
Mr Burrowes told the Mail: ‘I am very surprised and concerned that no action appears to have been taken, because the allegations are extremely serious.’
Mr Adesanya, who lives with his daughter in Dagenham, Essex, vehemently denied the plot and said he had never been questioned about the allegations.
He said: ‘Married my own daughter? I have never heard anything like this in my life. I deny it. She is my wife, not my daughter.’
However, asked to confirm his ‘wife’s’ date of birth, he said he did not know without checking her passport, and refused to allow her to speak for herself.
Unbeknown to him, his daughter had confirmed the arrangement when she told a friend she would shortly apply for her own British passport and ‘divorce daddy’.
Last night Jonathan Sedgwick, from the UK Border Agency, said: ‘These individuals are already under investigation, and I want to make it clear that abuse of our immigration laws will not be tolerated.
‘If we identify marriages which we believe are not genuine, we will challenge them and prosecute where appropriate.
‘We are determined to send home any foreign nationals convicted of these types of crimes once they have served their sentences.

“I am not a killer. I have never killed anyone. I only request for decomposed human parts. I needed the money to feed my three children of ages 30, 27 and 23 respectively.
“Those who patronize me are herbalists and trado-medical practitioners. The parts are used to prepare concoction for sick children. So far, I have only sold 10 human skulls.”

2face father's burial turns into war with kingsmen because he did not build a house in the village
There is an onging war between the family of Idibia Ije and the Amafu community in Okpokwu LGA of Benue State as the villagers had vowed to hold Tuface and his siblings hostage for refusing to complete his house in the village.
In fact, his (Tuface’s) mum, Mrs. Rose Idibia narrowly escaped death on Thursday night after she was attacked by her husband’s kinsmen for not allowing Tuface to complete his house in the village.
DailyPost exclusively gathered that problem started after Mr. Idibia breathed his last in faraway India and the family invited the four children to inform them of what to do.
It was learnt that one of the conditions given by the Idibia family was for Tuface to build a befitting house where his father would be laid to rest, since he is the star among them.
It was also gathered that the immediate family members pleaded with the children to grade the road leading to Amufu, their home town from Ojapo for easy access during the burial.
Tuface, it was learnt agreed and promised to do as they had demanded.
To keep to his promise, the singer sent in some money and the building project and the upgrading of the road kick started almost immediately.
This development made all residents to go ballistic as several prayers and encomiums were poured on their proud son, Innocent, popularly known as Tuface.
It was gathered that some farmers, whose crops were close to the roads were asked to uproot their crops to enable the project move freely; this they did with all enthusiasm and without grudges.
However, along the line, the projects suddenly stopped, leaving the people, including Tuface’s uncles in the dark.
When Tuface was contacted, he told them he no longer had money to continue the project and that he would continue after his father’s burial.
This irked his kinsmen, who vowed never to lay the deceased to rest until Tuface fulfilled his promise.
Those who were not satisfied with Tuface’s excuse embarked on investigation and discovered that it was his mum, Rose that allegedly stopped him from completing the project.
“The mum told him not to waste his money on any building, that he would not come home anytime to stay there; that his uncles would only take over the house once he completes it”, an indigene who craved anonymity told this reporter.
Several efforts to convince Tuface to continue the project hit the rocks, prompting the people to take the revenge on him and his mum as soon as they returned with the corpse.
DailyPost observed that as soon as the corpse touched down in Amufu and the widow alighted, youths in the area began to jeer her.
Others were seen throwing stones and sticks at her, calling her all sort of names depicting a wicked person.
Some mockingly called her ‘Obu Michael’ (Michael’s husband) while others said she must pay for the crops they uprooted.
She was sneaked into a room by her colleagues from Cherryfield College, Jikwoyi where she serves as Vice Principal.
Not yet done, when the pal bearers tried to take the casket inside, the youths again revolted that the corpse should be kept outside.
The women in the village also insisted that a hut should be built for the widow, Mrs. Idibia since her husband had no house in the village.
This protest lasted for hours before it was brought under control by elders in the village.
While this lasted, Tuface stayed glued inside his car with two of his kids, Isabella and Olivia, with security men fully on guard as the youths vowed to beat him up for listening to his mum.
When the Priest in charge of St. Camel Catholic Church, Ojapo invited Mrs. Idibia to explain her own side of the story, she blasted her in-laws for being heartless by calling on a child, who is mourning to come and build a house in the village.
According to a visibly angry Mrs. Idibia, who hails from Ogege, Amafu’s next door neighbour, it was unfair that the people were accusing her of stopping her son from building in his own town.
She explained that if she were against the project, she wouldn’t had allowed Tuface to start in the first place.
“Is it not wickedness that you would call on someone who is mourning his father to come and start a building project? When my husband died, they informed my son to come and build ten bed room flat. He accepted and promised to do so, with the hope that a hug amount of money was coming his way. The building project started almost immediately but stopped along the line because of finance. So, when they called to complain that money was no longer coming, I called Tuface and he said because of the Ebola issue, the money he was expecting could not come, that they should hold on till after the burial. But his uncles refused, insisting that the burial would not hold until Tuface completed the house.
“When we finally came home with the corpse on Thursday, they began to boo me. Some wanted to kill me by throwing stones and sticks at me, that I stopped Tuface my son from building in his village”, she explained amidst tears.
The cleric in his reponse told Mrs. Idibia that the people were not wrong for demanding for a house, but that they went too far by jeering and hulling stones at her.
He, however, pleaded with the Idibias to exercise patience until after the burial since the children won’t run away.
Pa. Idibia was finally laid to rest but the community is insisting that Tuface must complete the building or he would remain in the village.
A villager told our reporter that Tuface, the second son of Mr. Idibia, was almost beaten by some youths the last time he came to the villagefor his grand mother’s burial, for abandoning his people.
It was learnt that Tuface refused to invite any of his star friends because of the humiliation he always faced in his home town.
Only his manager, Efe Omoregbe and few bouncers came for the burial.
However, a Rev. Father, who would not want his name in print, lambasted the Amufu community for being so wicked by forcing a man to build a house.
“I have never seen where someone is being forced to build a house in his village. Do they know his statement of account? Is it because Tuface is popular? Is he a politician, why are they forcing him to grade the community road? Is he the local government chairman? They better stop this nonsense. This kind of culture is total rubish and must be stopped”, he warned.
Another resident flayed Tuface for listening to his mum by not completing the projects.
“See, let the truth be told, I am ashamed. Imagine Tubaba of all people facing this kind of humiliation. How much will it cost him to build ahouse here in the village? I am sure he has houses outside the state. That to me is not fair. Go to Otukpa and see the mansion TerryG built there. His parents are not in the village but he did so in case of tomorrow.
“You can see that the shame could not allow him bring his friends to the village. May God help him”
